Hello!
Its been a while since I've last posted, I haven't really had any new restoration work in a long while and work has been taking a lot of my energy. But I did get a few ponies in the mail this week, most of them were very easy wash and style jobs, but I'll have to re-root one whose hair was too frazzled. Once i get the hair in the mail ( I order all my pony hair from this etsy shop:
https://www.etsy.com/shop/ShimmerLocks) I'll try to take some process photos as I work which might make for a more interesting blog post. For now, here are the ponies post style but pre being dry enough to count as done. I've also added some notes on imperfections I have not fixed, and how I might in the future.
Hidden Treasure:

She has a notch in her ear, I could try to heat this up a bit and gently squish it down to have it be less obvious, or cut it out and fill the area with miliput or a similar moldable epoxy. For now, her hair covers it so I plan on leaving it alone. She also has a few spots that did not come off with soap or a spot clean with acetone. I could try sunfading and I may return to that in the future. Her hoof heart also needs a touch up. For now again I don't feel they are noticeable enough to worry about this minute.
Butterscotch:

Butterscotch really has very few issues, the tinsel in her mane and tail is a bit frazzled, I'm hoping it'll smooth out after styling. If anyone has any tips on how to get tinsel to lay flat again, I would appreciate it!
Denim Blue:

Denim blue was in the best condition of the lot, only really needing a wash. She has some very light pink marks on her face, which I have seen on a few other ponies in my collection, always the white ones which is weird. Sunfading, acetone, and soap don't really seem to do anything to help it at all. Thankfully it's pretty light on little blue here.
Bubblecup:

Oh poor bubblecup, her hair was just too frazzled to keep. I've ordered some hair and i'll be doing a reroot on her soon. Aside from her frizzy mane she was in pretty good shape.
Skywishes:

Skywishes was also in pretty decent condition, she has a slight scuff on one hoof and the ends of her hair were SUPER frazzled, almost like someone tried to use a flat iron on it or something. Rather than do a full reroot I decided to just trim the end bits off and style her with a slightly shorter mane. As much as I'd like to do a full reroot it is pretty expensive and time consuming so I try to only do them if completely necessary. Maybe it will be a project for the future.
All in all I think it was a pretty easy lot this time, and I had fun cleaning them up for display. I recently bought a light box so soon I'll have nicer photos on here, and I'll be able to take my own photos for ponies I own on my site! If it works out well I'll look into getting a larger one for dolls and playsets in the future. I'll pop in tomorrow and post an update showing them all dry & done, plus a new shot of my pony shelves on the site (if I can find enough space to fit them all LOL)
