Yesterday i got my very first Bradley doll in the mail! I won her for pretty cheap on ebay. Shes in great condition considering shes from 1977! HOWEVER she smells AWFUL! Like stale cigarettes and mothballs. I took 1D10 psychic damage from being within a foot of her. Genuinely awful haunted stink. Possessed by ghost of stink.
So today I set out on a quest to get Lysol, to hopefully cleanse her of this cloud of terrible stink. We took her out back, masked off the face to avoid ruining her beautiful paint, and sprayed her down. So far, it's worked really well! She is outside drying atm and the smell seems to be mostly gone, except for the head unfortunately. My main goal was just to get them smell down enough that she can come air out inside instead of on the porch. I will update tomorrow and see if she's been healed lol
I'll be taking some really nice photos of her for my website once shes un-stinked, and I plan to do the same for any future Bradley dolls I get, since there doesn't seem to be a great database anywhere where I can see who is out there.
